Houston · Texas · Since 2014
Sylhet Ambulance Service is a family-operated, fully-insured non-emergency medical transport company. We move patients safely between homes, hospitals, dialysis centers, rehab facilities, and physician offices — with the calm professionalism your loved ones deserve.
Who we are
Founded by Osvaldo Martinez in 2014 after years of working in patient transport across the Texas Medical Center, Sylhet Ambulance Service was created to fix the things he saw broken in larger fleets — late pickups, rough rides, and crews who treated patients like cargo. Today our small team handles more than 300 trips a week from our base on Chapel Street, and we still answer every phone call ourselves.
We are not a 911 service. What we do is the quieter, equally important work — getting a grandmother to her cardiologist on time, a post-surgical patient home without pain, a wheelchair user to a wedding across town. Every vehicle is sanitized between trips, every driver is background-checked and CPR-certified, and every dispatch decision is made by a human who knows Houston traffic.

Lift-equipped vans with full safety securements. Curb-to-curb or door-through-door assistance — whichever your loved one needs.
For patients who cannot sit upright. Padded mattresses, climate-controlled cabins, and crew trained in safe transfers.
Specialized equipment rated up to 750 lbs, with two-crew lifts and reinforced ramps. Comfort and dignity, always.
Reliable, standing-order routes to and from DaVita, Fresenius, and independent clinics across Harris County.
How a typical trip works
A human dispatcher answers — usually within three rings. We confirm pickup address, destination, mobility level, and any equipment your loved one uses.
You receive a text and email with the crew names, vehicle type, and ETA window. Insurance pre-authorizations are handled on our side.
Our team aims for a 10-minute early arrival on every scheduled trip. They introduce themselves, verify identity, and explain the route.
Smooth driving, climate control, and a crew member in the patient compartment for the entire trip. We never leave a patient alone.
We assist all the way to the exam room or living room — never just to the curb. A confirmation is sent to the family when the trip closes.
From the families we serve
We don't pay for reviews and we don't run ads asking for them — these are unedited notes from people who called us during difficult weeks.
"They were on time every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for nine months of my father's dialysis. Not once late. Not once rough. We will never forget them." — Marisol R., Spring Branch
"Osvaldo personally called to coordinate the hospital discharge. That kind of attention does not exist with the big companies." — J. Pham, Bellaire
"The crew brought a warm blanket without being asked. Small thing, but it mattered to my mother." — Daniel K., Memorial
Dispatch is open right now. Most same-day requests are accommodated within two hours.
